Man Utd boss Mourinho discusses shock Yaya Toure move with Ribalta
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is in the market for a veteran signing.
And among those under consideration is departing Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure, it has been revealed.
The Manchester Evening News says Toure fits United scout Javier Ribalta’s profile for a prospective signing: a veteran who has a point to prove, feels he has more to give at the highest level and can help the club’s younger players.
Of course, unlike Patrice Evra, Dani Alves, Mario Mandzukic et al, Toure is at the opposite end of the spectrum. But that has not stopped Mourinho before.
Indeed, before signing for West Ham, Evra revealed Mourinho wanted to sign him 18 months ago, only for higher ups inside the club to block the deal.
