Watford hope to close the signing of Barcelona winger Gerard Deulofeu this week.
The Mirror says Watford expect to wrap up the £11.7 million capture of Deulofeu on a four-year contract this week.
The former Everton winger impressed on loan at Vicarage Road until his spell was interrupted by a stress fracture in his foot.
And the Hornets were always at the head of the queue to sign Deulofeu permanently once fellow Spaniard, head coach Javi Gracia, believed he would start next season in charge.
Widespread reports in Spain suggest the deal is done, with Barcelona’s original £17.5m asking price trimmed by a third but with £2m payable in add-ons, and Watford hope to announce the signing before the World Cup kicks off on Thursday.
