The Reds currently sit joint top of the Premier League with 20 points and have conceded only three goals in eight matches.
Last season was defined by Liverpool’s fearsome attacking trio of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino. But with three wins by a single goal this season, Alexander-Arnold believes the Reds have evolved defensively.
“There’s probably a bit more of a difference from last season in terms of how we’re defensively organised,” Alexander-Arnold said.
“We’re not conceding as many goals and we’re still getting results, sometimes grinding them out.
“A win is a win at the end of the day and we’ve shown this year we can win in different ways.”
