Ruben Loftus-Cheek hopes his form for Chelsea is being noticed by England manager Gareth Southgate.
The 23-year-old’s inconsistent season has finally stayed on track in recent weeks, having started the last four matches for Chelsea.
And the talented midfielder wants his club exploits to result in a Nations League semi-final berth against the Netherlands in June.
He said: “I am focussed on the now and hoping (for England) in the future. The way you get in the England squad is doing well for your club.
“England is a by-product of what you’re doing. My focus is all on Chelsea and playing well when I get the opportunity. If you do well, you have every chance of being called up to England.”
