Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk insists there’s no thoughts of the team finishing the season potless.
Trailing Premier League leaders Manchester City and after being thumped by Barcelona 3-0 in the first-leg of their Champions League semifinal last night, the Reds now face the prospect of ending the season trophyless.
Van Dijk says: “But we are not thinking about that yet.
“We are experiencing a very good season and are trying to convert that into prizes. But if that fails, then we must continue to fight.
“We can be proud, because we played against one of the best teams in the world and had great opportunities. We are still on two fronts in the race, many teams would love to be in that position. And everything is possible in football.
“We believe and will continue to believe in it. That’s how we are. We never give up.”
